Decision:
That
Officers conduct a 60 day consultation exercise, to engage with Providers of
Direct Payment Payroll Services to seek feedback on the proposals outlined in
the private, circulated report.
Reasons for Decision:
1.
To ensure a sustainable range of good quality adult social care services
are available to meet the needs of the most vulnerable citizens of Neath Port
Talbot.
2.
To contribute to Welsh Government’s aim to rebalance the social care
market by moving services away from for-profit organisations.
3.
To improve efficiency of services.
4.
To improve access and communications between these functions and the
Direct Payment Support Services.
5.
To exercise greater control over these services.
6.
To contribute to Forward Financial Plan savings targets.
