This
item was considered at the Community, Finance and Strategic Leadership Scrutiny
Committee on the 18 July 2024.
A
verbal update was given detailing the request made by the scrutiny committee to
amend the word offer to offering in the context of the “delivering strong
tourism, leisure and culture offering”.
Officers confirmed that the document would be updated before it is
considered at Council.
The
scrutiny committee was supportive of the report subject to the amendment as
above.
Decisions:
1.
That having had due regard to the Integrated Impact Assessment (attached
at Appendix 2 to the circulated report), the Corporate Plan for the period
2024/2027 be approved, and it be noted that Plan priorities are subject to
ongoing review, given the level of uncertainty in terms of available revenue
and capital resources provided by Government.
2.
That the Director of Strategy and Corporate Services be given delegated
authority in consultation with the Leader, Deputy Leader and Chief Executive to
make any further changes that are necessary, prior to final publication and
which do not materially change the content of the Plan.
3.
That this Plan be commended to Council for formal adoption at its
meeting on the 26th July 2024.
Reason for Decisions:
To
meet legal duties set out in the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act
2015 as they relate to council corporate planning activities.
Implementation of Decisions:
The
decisions were for immediate implementation, with the support of the Scrutiny
Committee Chair.
