Councillors M.Harvey, A.R.Lockyer, L.Jones, S. Rahaman and S.Freeguard re-affirmed their interests at this point and withdrew from the meeting for this item only.

Decisions:

Having due regard to the Integrated Impact Screening Assessment approval be granted to the following applications to the Members Community Fund as detailed in Appendices (A) to (TT) except for (AA) which was withdrawn from consideration at today meeting as detailed in the circulated report.

(a)     Appendix A - An Application by Councillor Adam McGrath to equip Cimla RFC with an externally mounted defibrillator .Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(b)     Appendix B – An Application by Councillor John Warman to equip the ‘Utility Stores’ in Castle Drive, Cimla with an externally mounted defibrillator. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.

(c)     Appendix C – An Application by Councillors John Warman and Councillor Adam McGrath to develop a community artwork event at the 14^th Neath (Cimla) Scout Group HQ. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,000.

(d)     Appendix D – An Application by Councillor Christopher Jones to install an inclusive ‘Ability Swing’ within Lon Tanyrallt play area, Alltwen. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £10,000.

(e)   Appendix E – An Application by Councillors Rahaman, Freeguard and Keogh to install an electricity supply and essential groundworks for LED floodlights to Ynys Park for Trefelin Boys & Girls Club. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £18,343.27.

(f)   Appendix F – An Application by Councillor Sonia Reynolds to procure and install a defibrillator at Canolfan Maerdy in the Aman valley. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,679.00.

(g)  Appendix G – An Application by Councillor Sonia Reynolds to procure and install a defibrillator at Hwb y Gors in Cwmgors in the Aman valley. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,679.00.

(h)  Appendix H – An Application by Councillors A.P.H. Davies and M. Harvey to refurbish one tennis court in Skewen Park, Coedffranc. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £18,176.00.

(i)  Appendix I – An Application by Councillors Wyndham Griffiths, Jo Hale and Christopher Williams to equip the Bryncoch Environmental Group with essential  resources to expand their greening initiatives within Bryncoch North and South. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,071.62.

(j) Appendix J – An Application by Councillor Alan Lockyer to procure and install a defibrillator into the Neath YMCA. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,240.00.

(k) Appendix K – An Application by Councillors Wyndham Griffiths, Jo Hale and Christopher Williams to provide resources for the Neath Rural Guiding (Bryncoch) Units. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,000.00.

(l) Appendix L – An Application by Councillor Marcia Spooner to provide resources for the Neath Rural Guiding (Rhos) Units. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(m) Appendix M – An Application by Councillor Angharad Aubrey to provide a defibrillator to Ty Santes Fair (St. Marys Community Centre) in Coedffranc Central. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(n) Appendix N – An Application  by Councillor Christopher James to financially assist The Friends of Jersey Park in re- establishing the pavilion shelter in Briton Ferry East. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £10,000.

(o) Appendix O – An Application by Councillors W.F. Griffiths, Jo Hale and Christopher Williams to provide a defibrillator to the Caewern Post Office/Stores in Bryncoch North/South. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(p) Appendix P – An Application by Councillor Angharad Aubrey to provide a defibrillator to the Salvation Army Headquarters in Skewen. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,600.00.

(q) Appendix Q – An Application by Councillor Scott Jones to renovate the Croeserw Bowling Green in Cymmer. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £4,600.00.

(r) Appendix R – An Application by Councillor Leanne Jones to provide litter picking equipment to the wider community of Tonna. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £2,703.85.

(s) Appendix S – An Application by Councillor Scott Jones to revitalise the playing surface on the Cymmer Artificial Turf Pitch. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £5,400.00.

(t) Appendix T – An Application by Councillors Sharon Freeguard, Saifur Rahaman and Dennis Keogh to establish a café type support group at St. Theodore’s Church Hall in Port Talbot. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,600.00.

(u) Appendix U – An Application by Councillor Marcia Spooner to modernise the Rhos F.C. pavilion at Rhos Park. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £8,500.00.

(v) Appendix V – An Application by Councillors W.F. Griffiths, Jo Hale and Christopher Williams to provide a defibrillator to the bus shelter at the junction of Pen y Wern Road and Alexander Road, Bryncoch. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(w) Appendix W – An Application by Councillor Dean Lewis to support the Resolven ‘Big Bocs Bywd’ Food Bank initiative. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,000.00.

(x) Appendix X – An Application by Councillors Robert Wood, Suzanne Paddison and Oliver Davies to provide the seafront and Vivian Park Nature Garden with litter picking and storage facilities. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £11,640.00.

(y) Appendix Y – An Application by Councillor Dean Lewis to supply and install an outdoor Fitness Rig at Resolven RFC. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £3,000.00.

(z) Appendix Z – An Application by Councillor Sian Harris to establish an intergenerational garden in Crynant Primary School. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £4,500.00.

(aa) Appendix AA – (An Application by Councillors Anthony and Rachel Taylor to provide a defibrillator to the Taibach Library. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £2,132.43) - Withdrawn through extenuating circumstances/duplication of provision.

(bb) Appendix BB – An Application by Councillor Dean Cawsey to extend the ‘Community Ranger’ post that was established with funding from Tranche 1 of the Members Fund in Onllwyn. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £10,000.00

(cc) Appendix CC – An Application by Councillors Nigel Hunt and Scott Bamsey to establish 12 major street art murals on the underpasses on Afan Way and Aberafan. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £19,990.00.

(dd) Appendix DD – An Application by Councillor Hugh Jones to extend and equip the play area in Llynfell Park, Cwmllynfell. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £10,000.00.

(ee) Appendix EE – An Application by Councillors Anthony and Rachel Taylor to provide a defibrillator to the Taibach Community Education Centre. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £2,088.00

(ff) Appendix FF – An Application by Councillor Nicola Elsie Davies to provide an Induction Loop System to Noddfa Community Centre, Glyncorrwg. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £8,613.00.

(gg) Appendix GG – An Application by Councillor Dean Lewis to provide two defibrillators, one to Clyne Community Centre and another to the Marion Hall in Melincourt, Resolven. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,000.00.

(hh) Appendix HH – An Application by Councillor Mark Protheroe and Alan Lockyer to provide new training and fitness equipment for the Neath Schools Intermediate RFU at Neath RFC. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £8,804.57.

(ii) Appendix II – An Application by Councillor Mark Protheroe to provide grounds maintenance equipment to the Dyfed Road Bowls Association, Neath North. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,147.43.

(jj) Appendix JJ – An Application by Councillor Sonia Reynolds to establish youth employment opportunities in the Amman Valley. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £3,666.00.

(kk) Appendix KK – An Application by Councillor Sonia Reynolds to modernise the catering equipment at Cwmgors RFC. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £2,976.00.

(ll) Appendix LL – An Application by Councillor Mark Protheroe to provide a defibrillator to Riverside Drive, Neath North. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(mm) Appendix MM – An Application by Councillor Alan Lockyer to provide a defibrillator to the Gnoll Country Park Visitor Centre. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,500.00.

(nn) Appendix NN – An Application by Councillor Anthony Richards to equip the ‘My Green Valley’ Environmental Group. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £2,761.70.

(oo) Appendix OO – An Application by Councillor Annette Wingrave to help develop a County Highway verge in Cadoxton into a venue for community events. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £4,900.00.

(pp) Appendix PP – An Application by Councillor Charlotte Galsworthy to provide storage facilities to two Community Event organisations in Bryn and Cwmafan. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £4,968.00.

(qq) Appendix QQ -An Application by Councillor Helen Ceri Clarke to equip Coedffranc FC minis, juniors and Ladies with essential training apparatus. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,160.00.

(rr) Appendix RR – An Application by Councillor Helen Ceri Clarke to provide new benches to Llandarcy village, Coedffranc West. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,279.59.

(ss) Appendix SS – An Application by Councillor Helen Ceri Clarke to equip Llandarcy AFC with coach education and essential training apparatus. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £1,137.32.

(tt) Appendix TT – An Application by Councillor Annette Wingrave to improve road safety at Cwmbach Road, Cadoxton. Total request of the Members Community Fund is £5,100.00.

To enable the applications for funding that have been submitted to the Members Community Fund to be approved.
