Minutes:
The
Mayor was pleased to inform Council that Neath Port Talbot County Borough
Council had received a number of nominations at the recent APSE awards:
• Best Overall Council for the Year
• Best Collaborative Working Initiative with the Public and
third sector
• Best Service Team – Facilities Management and Building Cleaning
Service
• Best Service Team – Cemetery and
Crematorium Services
• Best Public/Private Partnership Working
Initiative
And
the Council had won the Best Public/Private Partnership Working Initiative for
the innovative council scheme – centred around an online
directory – NPT Buy Local. The Mayor thanked all of the staff for the work they
do for Neath Port Talbot and the staff nominated.
The
Mayor congratulated Harri Jenkins, who won a bronze
medal in the 100 metres at the Tokyo Paralympics, as well as Joe Brier and
Daniel Jervis who were selected to represent Wales, Great Britain in the Tokyo
Olympics.
Council
also congratulated Councillor Saif Rahaman and family
on the birth of a son.
