Decision:
Having
given due regard to the first stage Integrated Impact Assessment:
1. Delegated authority be granted to the Head of Property and
Regeneration to submit a formal bid on the basis of information contained
within the private circulated report and if successful legally complete the
purchase of the freehold of the land in consultation with the Head of Legal and
Democratic Services.
Reason for Decision:
The
purchase of the freehold of the land will not only secure an ongoing rental
investment income but also safeguard future ownership of its operational
premises and opportunities for future development and regeneration of the land.
Implementation of Decision:
With
the agreement of the relevant Scrutiny Chairperson the decision will be
implemented immediately (and therefore not subject to the 3 day call in
procedure).
