Having given due regard to the Integrated Impact
Assessment:
1.
The Levelling Up Fund parcel bids for Neath and
Aberavon constituencies as detailed in the circulated report be approved.
2.
The Director of Environment and Regeneration in consultation with the Leader
and relevant Cabinet Member(s) be granted delegated authority to approve the
business case for submission to UK Government by 18th June deadline.
3.
The Director of Environment and Regeneration in consultation with the
Director of Finance and Corporate Services and the Leader and relevant Cabinet
Member(s) be authorised to enter into grant agreements or associated
documentation that might be necessary to draw down funding from the Levelling
Up Fund.
Reason for
Decisions:
To enable the Council to formally submit the Levelling
Up Fund parcel bid applications for Neath and Aberavon
constituencies to the UK Government.
Implementation
of Decisions:
The decisions will be implemented after the three
day call in period.
Consultation:
The item has been subject to external consultation.
Levelling Up Fund bidding authorities are required to consult with a range of
local stakeholders in developing their proposed investments for the Levelling
Up Fund (and demonstrate evidence of engagement) including seeking Member of
Parliament endorsement as detailed in the circulated report.
