Minutes:
Members discussed various aspects of the
private report, including bulk waste and surplus machinery. Following
discussion at the Scrutiny Committee, the Cabinet Members made amendments to
the recommendations, which were agreed as below:
Decisions:
1.
That the MREC
not be brought in house as is;
2.
That the offer from
Walters be rejected and Officers bring the MREC into the Council as a transfer
station and an update report be brought to Members as soon as possible;
3.
That the Director
of Finance and Corporate Services be given delegated authority to notify all
parties of the decisions.
Reason for Decisions:
To enable the Council to
put in place waste disposal arrangements going forward.
Implementation of Decisions:
The decisions will be
implemented after the three day call in period.
