Decisions:

 

1.              That Rule 2 of the Contract Procedure Rules be suspended with regards to the continued appointment of E.L;

 

2.              That the Head of Adult Services be granted delegated authority to extend the contractual arrangements with Highbroom Consultancy – Alder Advice in respect of E.L. for the engagement of an Interim Principal Officer within Community Care Services.

 

Reason for Decisions:

 

To ensure appropriate expertise and knowledge are in place to lead and manage the Directorate through the significant improvements required in relation to service delivery and budget reduction and to allow for an appropriate transition period for any permanent appointment to the substantive post or any Senior Management re-structures to be fully considered due to the significant recruitment and retention issues experienced in filling the position, and as a consequence this will aid the Council in securing and retaining the services of suitably qualified, highly skilled and experienced people who are essential to the delivery of improved Adult’s Services.

 

Implementation of Decisions:

 

The decision will be implemented after the three day call in period.
