Minutes:
The
Committee received the report in relation to the fees and charges levied by the
Environmental Health and Trading Standards Section. Members then raised the following:

How do the proposed fees and charges compare with other Local Authorities. Officers
advised that it was not possible for a direct comparison but that the proposals
would cover the cost of enforcement carried out by the Authority as the service
was not allowed to make a profit;

When were the current charges last
reviewed. Officers advised that they
were not able to provide that information but assured Members that going
forward these charges would be reviewed on an annual basis.
Following
scrutiny, the Committee was supportive of the proposal to be considered by
Cabinet.
