Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 1 Minutes: Members were asked to consider
an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver
licence. The
applicant attended the meeting. Resolved: hat after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing
all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi
Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be GRANTED.
Members agreed to act outside the Policy and consider the application without a
certificate of good conduct. The reasons being that the Applicant has provided
information about their conduct and actions whilst out of the UK and had made
reasonable efforts to obtain a certificate of good conduct. |

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 2 Minutes: Members were asked to consider
an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver
licence. The Applicant attended the
meeting. Resolved: That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be GRANTED. Members were of the view the applicant was a fit and proper person. They also agreed to act outside the Policy and consider the application without a certificate of good conduct. The reasons being that the Applicant has provided information about their conduct and actions whilst out of the UK and had made reasonable efforts to obtain a certificate of good conduct. |

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 3 Minutes: Councillor A.J. Richards
left the meeting after the decision on Item 7. Application for a Hackney Carriage
and Private Hire Driver Licence – Case 2. Following his withdrawal, Councillor
Henton took the Chair. The Legal
Regulatory Service Manager provided the Committee with an overview to the
private circulated report. The applicant was in attendance and addressed the Committee. Decision: That after hearing all representations and reviewing the
private circulated report, the Committee agreed that the application be GRANTED. |

Renewal of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence - Case 4 Minutes: The
Legal Regulatory Service Manager provided the Committee with an overview to the
private circulated report. The driver was in attendance
and addressed the Committee. Decision: That after hearing all representations and
reviewing the private circulated report, Members agreed that the application be
granted and his Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licences be RENEWED
but also the driver be issued with a warning letter. |
