Members were given an overview of the circulated report.

RESOLVED: That the report be noted.

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 1

Minutes:

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The Applicant attended the meeting.

 

Resolved:

 

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be APPROVED.

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 2

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The Applicant attended the meeting.

 

Resolved:

 

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be REFUSED.

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 3

Minutes:

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The Applicant attended the meeting.

 

Resolved:

 

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing Police representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be DEFERRED pending the outcome of the ongoing Police investigation.

9.

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 4

Minutes:

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The Applicant attended the meeting.

 

Resolved:

 

1.   That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be APPROVED.

 

2.   Following the decision that the applicant is a fit and proper person, members APPROVED that the existing medical certificate, which has expired, can be accepted.

 

3.   Furthermore, Members agreed to act outside the Policy and consider the application without a certificate of good conduct. Members APPROVED the application.

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The Applicant attended the meeting.

 

Resolved:

 

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed that the application be APPROVED.
