The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Resolved:

That the minutes of the previous meeting held on the 7 July 2025, be approved as an accurate record.

There were no declarations of interest received.

There were no urgent items.

That pursuant to Section 100BA (2) and (7) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following items of business which involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12 and 15 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the above Act

The Applicant did not attend the meeting.

This item was ADJOURNED from consideration at today’s meeting, as the applicant was unable to attend.

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

The Applicant and a family friend attended the meeting.

Resolved:

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the application be Approved.

The applicant withdrew their application prior to the meeting.

Officers explained that due to an admin error this item should be listed as an application and not a renewal.

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

The Applicant and a colleague attended the meeting.

Resolved:

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the application be REFUSED by reason of the nature of the conviction/caution and inconsistencies with the submissions.

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

The Applicant attended the meeting.

Resolved:

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the application be REFUSED by reason of the serious nature of the allegations, an adult caution and inconsistencies with the submissions.
