That the forward work programme for 2023 2024 be noted.

Questions must be submitted in writing to Democratic Services, democratic.services@npt.gov.uk no later than two working days prior to the meeting.  Questions must relate to items on the agenda.  Questions will be dealt with in a 10 minute period.

Decision:

That as per appendix 1 and 2 of the circulated report the opening times for Christmas and New Year 2023, for Libraries, theatres, community centres, Margam County Park, Leisure Centres and Swimming Pools be approved.

 

Implementation of Decision:

That the decision be implemented following the three day call in period, which ends at 9.00am, on, Monday, 27th November 2023.

 

Consultation:

There was no requirement to undertake external consultation

Decision:

That having due regard to appendix A of the circulated report pack, approval be granted to consult on the 2023/2026 Community Schools Admission Policy.

 

Implementation of Decision:

That the decision be implemented following the three-day call-in period, which ends at 9.00am, on, Monday, 27th November 2023.

 

Consultation:

That having due regard to the circulated report, consultation was carried out the following,

 

·       The governing bodies of community schools

·       The governing bodies of voluntary aided (i.e., faith) schools

·       All neighbouring local authorities.

Increased Planned Places Blaenhonddan Primary School - Final Determination pdf icon PDF 960 KB

Minutes:

Decision:

·       That approval be granted to establish a specialist provisioin for primary age pupils with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) at Blaenhonddan Primary School.

·       That the provision be managed by the school under it’s school governance.

·       That the provision be beneficial to pupils being taught be specialist staff and alleviate pressures to existing staff to address demand for pupils with more complex needs.

 

Implementation of Decision:

That the decision be implemented following the three-day call-in period, which ends at 9.00am, on, Monday, 27th November 2023.

 

Consultation:

Formal consultation has been undertaken in line with the Welsh Government’s School Organisation Code, November 2018.  Members were informed of the outcome to the consultation together with it’s recommendations on the 28th September at the  ESW Cabinet Board.
