That the 2022/23 Education, Skills and Wellbeing Cabinet Board Forward Work Programme be noted.

 

Officers were reminded that details noted within the Forward Work Programme were the last for the current civic year 2022/23. Democratic Services Officers would be in contact to discuss items for the year 2023/24 following the Annual Meeting of Council scheduled May 2023.

That having due regard to Appendix A of the circulated report permission be granted to consult for the proposed 2025/2026 school term dates.

Reason for Decision:

To enable the Authority to meet its statutory duties.

 

Implementation of Decision:

The decision will be implemented after the three-day call-in period, which ended 9.00am, Monday 17th April 2023.

 

Consultation:

Consultation will be undertaken with governing bodies, trade union representatives and other admission authorities including those in the relevant area.

 

8.

Charitable scheme for the disposal of the proceeds of the sale of the former Glanafan Comprehensive School site pdf icon PDF 417 KB

That having due regard to the circulated report;

 

1.   Approval be granted that an application be submitted to the Charity Commission of a charitable scheme for the disposal of the proceeds of the sale of the former Glanafan Comprehensive School land.

2.   Approval be granted for the proceeds to be spent on a scheme that supports teaching and learning in the 21st Century.

3.   Approval be granted for the fund to be freed from restrictions in respect to expenditure of any capital that applies, resolved under the Section 282 of the Charities Act 2011.

4.   Approval be granted for the sale of the proceeds to be invested under the Section 280 of the Charities Act 2011.

5.   That the approved decisions comply with legislative requirements of the sale of the site.
