under the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions)(Functions
of Local Authorities)(Wales) Regulations 2020.
Welsh
Government (on 17 September 2020) revoked the new legislation they created the
previous week meaning the urgency action signed off last week (68TD) is now
no longer valid. The new Regulations are almost identical to the old ones but
it is necessary to update the scheme of delegation so officers have the
correct authority.
That
the Director of Environment and Regeneration, Director of Finance and Corporate
Services, Head of Planning and Public Protection and Head of Legal Services
and any officers so designated by them be authorised to serve a premises
direction, event direction, public place direction, undertake the closure of
public paths and access land, take action for non-compliance, issue fixed
penalty notices and take any action so designated to a local authority
pursuant to the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions)(Functions of
Local Authorities)(Wales) Regulations 2020.
