Adult Services put in place a number of measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted on those that receive services.

This report sets out measures that have been implemented in response to the ‘local lockdown’, increased rates of community transmission and guidance from Welsh Government and Public Health Wales. In addition, this report sets out what processes have been implemented in order to ensure that the Adult Services response balances risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, with peoples wider wellbeing needs and human rights.

1.          That the content of the attached report be noted, and the steps taken to date by the Council to balance the challenges and risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic with the wider wellbeing and human rights of those that these decisions effect, be endorsed;

2.          That delegated authority be granted to the to the Director of Social Services Health and Housing and the Head of Adult Services to keep the situation under review and request an urgent meeting if there is a need to recommend a different course of action.
