National Exercise Referral Scheme pdf icon PDF 3 MB

Minutes:

Members received a PowerPoint presentation relating to the National Exercise Referral Scheme, as detailed within the circulated report.

 

A Virtual clip was presented at the meeting, demonstrating the work that the team had achieved keeping those active during Covid-19.

 

Members asked whether there were any concessionary rates. Officers explained that due to national guidance it is set at a £2 rate. Officers explained that they try their very best to ensure that the price stays at a fair rate.

 

Discussions took place around the location of the classes. Officers explained that they try to keep them in the main central areas within Neath Port Talbot to ensure everyone can access a class.

Members commended the work of the team and thanked officers for all of their work.

Quarterly Performance Management Data 2021-2022 - Quarter 2 Performance (1st April 2021- 30th September 2021) pdf icon PDF 305 KB

Minutes:

Members were provided with the quarter 2 performance management data, for the period 1st April 2021 to 30th September 2021 for Education, Leisure and Lifelong Learning Directorate relating to Leisure and Culture, as detailed within the circulated report.

 

Members highlighted their understanding around the pressure that officers had received during these unprecedented times and commended their efforts in keeping the service going under such difficult circumstances with Covid-19 restrictions. Which were reflected in the Performance Indicators.

 

It was asked whether a concessionary rate could be applied to the Luminate productions to ensure families aren’t excluded from the event due to cost. Officers reassured Members that they would discuss this with the Chief Executive of Luminate.

 

Following scrutiny, the report was noted.

The forward Work Programme for 2021/22 was noted subject to the addition of an update on Margam Park at a future meeting.

Minutes:

The Cabinet Member raised a query relating to a Sports Club requiring a premises to utilise. Officers confirmed that they would take this up and respond to the sports club outside the meeting.
