Having due regard to the integrated impact screening assessment, free Christmas parking be approved in Neath, Port Talbot and Pontardawe Pay and Display car parks from Saturday 11 December 2021 to Saturday 1 January 2022 inclusive (excluding The Gnoll, Afan Forest Country Park and Aberavon Seafront car parks). 

 

Reason for Decision:

 

To support our town centre economy it is acknowledged that providing free Christmas car parking would further support their recovery.

That the current Grit Bin Policy be continued pending a review of the Grit Bin Policy by the Streetscene and Engineering Scrutiny Committee and a report be brought back to a future meeting of the Streetscene and Engineering Cabinet Board for consideration.

That having had due regard to the integrated impact assessment, approval be granted to advertise the following Traffic Calming Measures at Tonna, and if no objections are received that the proposals are to be implemented on site as advertised:

 

1.           Proposed 20 mph speed limits traffic regulation order at B4434 Dulais Fach Road, Station Road, Riverside, Taibanc and Brunel Close, Tonna.

 

2.           Proposed speed cushions traffic regulation order at B4434 Dulais Fach Road, Tonna as detailed in Appendix A to the circulated report.

Section 38 Highways Act 1980 Agreement, Commuted Sum Payment - Cae Morfa, Phases Three and Four Skewen

That the recommendations contained within the private, circulated report, be agreed.

 

Reason for Decisions:

 

To mitigate any further costs incurred by the Council, which in turn would provide a significant sum of that would assist with management and maintenance for the Council of the development at Cae Morfa accordingly providing sufficient comfort to residents of future maintenance issues being resolved.
