Planning and Public Protection Minutes: Decision: That
an Isuzu D Max Double Cab with Truckman top or
similar (as detailed in the circulated report) be purchased. Reason for Decision: The
continued use of vehicles within the Council’s car pool which are not fit for
the purpose required to deliver both regulatory and income generating services,
is neither cost effective nor does it adequately protect the health and safety
of staff undertaking such duties. Implementation of Decision: The
decision will be implemented after the three day call in period. |

Report of the
Head of Engineering and Transport Minutes: Members were pleased to note that since the report
had been published, the grants detailed within the circulated report had been
approved. Decision: That the Traffic Orders contained within the Road Safety
Grant and Safe Routes in Communities Grant Schemes for 2019-2020 (as summarised
at Appendix A to the circulated report), be advertised and subject to there
being no objections, the Orders be implemented. Reason for
Decision: The schemes are necessary in the interest of road
safety within the County Borough. Implementation
of Decision: The decision will be implemented after the three
day call in period. Consultation: This item will be subject to external consultation. |

contained within the Traffic Capital Programme 2019-2020 (as detailed at

Aberavon Seafront - Notices in respect of proposed Coastal Protection Works PDF 138 KB Minutes: Decisions: 1.
That the
Head of Streetcare, in consultation with the Head of
Legal Services, serve the necessary statutory Notices with respect to the
proposed coastal protection works at Aberavon under the Coast Protection Act
1949; 2.
That the
Head of Streetcare, in consultation with the Head of
Legal Services, serve the statutory Notices under the terms of the Coast
Protection Act 1949, as may be required for future projects if deemed apparent
to fulfil work programmes. Reason
for Decisions: To comply with
statutory requirements. Implementation of Decisions: The decisions are
urgent and for immediate implementation. The Scrutiny Chairperson had agreed to
this course of action and therefore there would be no call-in of these decisions. |

Urgency Action: 1284 Private Joint
Report of the Head of Engineering and Transport and Head of Streetscene Minutes: Members noted the tabled Equalities Impact
Assessment (EIA) Screening Form, which replaced the EIA previously circulated
with the report pack. Decision: That
the following Private Urgency Action taken by the Head of Engineering and
Transport in consultation with the requisite Members, be noted:- Officer
Urgency Action No 1284 re: To
serve Notice under S289 and S290 of the Highways Act 1980 to gain access to
private land to undertake urgent testing and survey investigations work on
private development highways and associated drainage for private roads. |
