The minutes of the meeting held on 18 October, 2019, were approved.

The Forward Work Programme was noted.

The committee chose to scrutinise the following cabinet board item:

Key Performance Indicators 2019/2020 – Quarter 2 (1 April to 30 September 2019)

Members received an overview of the circulated report.

Members questioned the percentage of planning appeals dismissed.  It was agreed that Members would liaise with the Head of Planning and Public Protection to discuss further.

A discussion took place around new business start-ups in the county borough.  It was agreed that the Head of Property and Regeneration would bring back a report to a future meeting.

Following scrutiny, it was agreed that the report be noted.

RESOLVED:      that pursuant to Section 100A(4) and (5) of the

Local Government Act 1972, the public be

excluded for the following items of business

which involved the likely disclosure of exempt

information as defined in Paragraph 14 of Part 4

of Schedule 12A to the above Act.
