That the revised Flexible Retirement Policy, as detailed at Appendix 1 to the circulated report, be approved.

That the report be noted.

That the revised Maximising Attendance at Work Procedure, as detailed at Appendix 1 to the circulated report, be approved.

Members considered the review of actions undertaken to deliver against the priorities of the council’s Strategic Workforce Plan: The Future of Work Strategy 2022 – 2027 in the year 2025 / 2026.

It be agreed that:

1.           The 7 Strategic Workforce priorities remain relevant and fit for purpose.

2.           The proposed Delivery Plan for 2025 / 2026, as detailed at Appendix 3 to the circulated report, be approved.

That the introduction of a Secure Allowance Payment to employee’s requiring registration with Social Care Wales to work at Hillside Secure Children’s Home, backdated with effect from 1st April 2024, be approved.

Any urgent items at the discretion of the Chairperson pursuant to Section 100BA(6)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

That pursuant to Section 100A(4) and (5) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following items of business which involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 15 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the above Act.

That the private report be noted.
