Agenda, decisions and draft minutes

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and expressed gratitude for their attendance.

The Chair extended special thanks to Clive for his dedicated service and contributions, acknowledging his retirement.

There were no declarations of interest received.

The minutes of the previous meeting, held on 14^th January, 2025 were agreed as an accurate record.

Report of the Clerk – Mr James Michael Davies

That members approve the closure of the Crematorium Office on a Sunday (subject to exceptional circumstances), not including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. The grounds and Chapel of Remembrance will remain open to visitors and there will still be a staff presence on site during the opening hours of the grounds.

There was a proposed addition of wording to the recommendation. The additional wording read - subject to exceptional circumstances.

Members proposed and seconded the amendment and approved the motion

Decision:

That members approve the closure of the Crematorium Office on a Sunday (subject to exceptional circumstances), not including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. The grounds and Chapel of Remembrance will remain open to visitors and there will still be a staff presence on site during the opening hours of the grounds.

Any urgent items at the discretion of the Chairperson pursuant to Section 100BA(6)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).
