following Member made a declaration of interest at the start of the meeting: Councillor A.Lodwig - Minute No. 6 –
Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence, Case 1 – as
the Applicants representative was known to him. Cllr Lodwig felt this interest
to be prejudicial, so left the meeting for the discussion and voting on this
item. |

Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence - Case 1 Minutes: (At
this point in the meeting, Councillor Lodwig reaffirmed his interest in this
item, and withdrew from the meeting for the discussion and voting thereon.) The
Licensing Manager provided the Committee with an overview of the private,
circulated report. The
driver was in attendance and addressed the Committee, along with a
representative. Decision: That
after reviewing the private circulated report, and hearing all the parties representations, and having due regard to the
Councils Taxi Licensing Policy, the Application be REFUSED, as the
Committee did not deem the applicant to be a fit and proper person, and there
were no exceptional circumstances to depart from the Council’s Taxi Licensing
Policy on this occasion to grant the application. |
