The Chair, Cllr A.J.Richards welcomed everyone to the meeting.

There were no Declarations of Interest received.

RESOLVED:               That the minutes of the previous meeting held on the 15 July, 2024, be approved as a true and accurate record.

Any urgent items at the discretion of the Chairperson pursuant to Section 100BA(6)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

No urgent items were received.

That pursuant to Section 100BA (2) and (7) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following items of business which involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12 and 15 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the above Act.

The Licensing Manager provided the Committee with an overview of the private, circulated report.

The driver was in attendance and addressed the Committee, along with 2 representatives.

Decision:

That after hearing all representations and reviewing the private circulated report, the Application be REFUSED, as the Committee did not deem the applicant to be a fit and proper person, and it was felt there was no justification to depart from the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy Guidelines on this occasion.
