RESOLVED:

That the minutes of the previous meeting held on the 20th January 2025, be approved as a true and accurate record.

Access to Meetings

That pursuant to Section 100BA (2) and (7) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following items of business which involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12 and 15 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the above Act.

That pursuant to Section 100BA (2) and(7) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following item of business which involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12 of part 4 of schedule 12A of the above Act.

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 1

Minutes:

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The applicant attended the meeting.

 

RESOLVED:

 

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed the application be Granted.

Members were of the view the applicant was a fit and proper person. The also agreed to act outside the Policy and consider the application without a period of good conduct. The reasons being that the Applicant has provided information about their conduct and actions whilst out of the UK and had made reasonable efforts to obtain a certificate of good conduct.

 

 

7.

Application for a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence - Case 2

Minutes:

Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of a hackney carriage and private hire driver licence.

 

The applicant attended the meeting.

 

RESOLVED:

 

That after reviewing the private circulated report, hearing all the parties’ representations and having due regard to the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy, the Committee agreed the application be Granted. Members were of the view the application was a fit and proper person.
