Members were asked to consider that delegated authority be given to the Head of Legal Services and Licensing Manager to issue refund requests for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Proprietor Licence.

RESOLVED:         that delegated authority to the Head of Legal Services and Licensing Manager to issue refund requests for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Proprietor Licences, be approved.

Members were asked to consider that delegated authority be given to the Head of Legal Services and Licensing Manager to determine late renewal applications for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Proprietor Licences, where the application is submitted up to three days late and a good reason is provided by the applicant.

RESOLVED:         that delegated authority to the Head of Legal Services and Licensing Manager to determine late renewal applications for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Proprietor Licences, where the application is submitted up to 3 days late and a good reason is provided by the applicant, be approved.

Members were asked to consider the amendment to Condition 8 of the specific location conditions contained in the Street Trading Policy, for traders operating in Neath Town Centre.

RESOLVED:         that Condition 8 of the specific location conditions contained in the Street Trading Policy, be amended as follows:

·             “Zone 1 consents in respect of Neath Town Centre will not be operative during the period of Neath Town Centre Trading Fair, the Neath Food and Drink Festival and the Neath Christmas Festival”

Also, the existing street trading consent issue for Neath Town Centre be exempt from the new restrictions of trading.

RESOLVED:        that pursuant to Section 100A(4) and (5) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following item of business which involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the above Act.

After hearing all submissions Members were asked to consider appropriate action in relation to drivers existing Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licence, where breaches of Section 168 Equality Act 2010 had been identified.

CASE 1

The Applicant was present at the meeting.

RESOLVED:         that the drivers existing Hackney Carriage       and Private Hire Licence be suspended for a           period of two days, which will be effective 21       days from   today’s meeting.

After hearing all submissions Members were asked to consider an application for the grant of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence.

CASE 2

The Applicant was present at the meeting.

RESOLVED:        that the application for grant of Hackney Carriage                               and Private Hire Licence, be approved.

To provide Members with an update on the revocation of drivers Hackey Carriage Drivers Licence.
