The Committee was asked to consider a report in respect of the renewal of Hackney Carriage proprietor’s licence where the licence had expired, and to consider an application for a new proprietor’s licence where the vehicle does not comply with the Council’s Taxi Licensing Policy.

Officers highlighted at the start of the meeting that the applicant had the right to object to the meeting taking place as the statutory three day notice period had not been adhered to due to the urgency of the matter, the applicant was happy for the meeting to continue.

RESOLVED:      refusal to renew Hackney Carriage Proprietors Licence under the provisions of Section 61(1)(a) Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, and also refusal to grant a new for Hackney Carriage Proprietors Licence.
