Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence - Case 1

Minutes:

The applicant, nor his representatives, attended the meeting. The Committee voted to hear the case in his absence.

The Senior Licensing Officer provided the Committee with an overview to the private circulated report.

Decision:

That after hearing representations from the Senior Licensing Officer, and reviewing the private circulated report, the application was refused, for the following reasons:

1.           The Applicant did not meet the policy

2.      As the Applicant failed to attend the meeting, Members were unable to question the Applicant on whether he had exceptional circumstances.

Consequently, the Applicant had not satisfied Members that there were exceptional circumstances to depart from the policy.
