Agenda, decisions and minutes

1.   That Members support the establishment of a Task and Finish Group to develop the Welsh Language Promotion Strategy;

2.   That a political split of nine Members be included in the Task and Finish Group, including the Chair and Vice Chair of Scrutiny.

1.   That the Council’s subscription to Language Line Solutions be terminated from April 2018;

2.   That approval be given to use the Wales Interpretation and Translation Service on the finalisation of the Collaboration Agreement;

3.   That approval be granted for the Head of Legal Services to enter into a legally binding contract with Cardiff Council to access translation services provided by the Wales Interpretation and Translation Service.

1.         That the monitoring arrangements for the current recipients of third sector grant funding, be noted;

2.         That the award of Grants to the Third Sector organisations as set out in Appendices 1 and 2 of the circulated report, be approved;

3.         That grants be not awarded to the applications set out in Appendix 3 of the circulated report.

That approval be granted for a maximum grant of £9,000 to Cilybebyll Community Council.

1.   That approval be granted for Margam Community Centre/Hall Bertha Road, Margam, Port Talbot to receive grant assistance in the sum of £4,075.00 towards the annual rent of £4,537.50, for lease of Margam Community Hall;

2.   That approval be granted for Dan y Coed Community Association, Pontrhydyfen, Port Talbot to receive grant assistance in the sum of £450 towards the annual rent of £550, for lease of land at Miles Field, Tonmawr, Port Talbot;

3.   That approval be granted for Glynneath Training Centre, Glynneath to receive grant assistance in the sum of £4,500, for the lease of Oddfellows Hall, Glynneath to View (Glynneath) Limited;

4.   That approval be granted for 11^th Port Talbot Scout Group, Port Talbot to received grant assistance in the sum of £1,800 towards the annual rent of £1,980 for the lease of land and Scout Hall at Little Warren Sports Ground, Aberavon, Port Talbot.

5.   That approval be granted for Trustees of DACLUS Sandfields, Salem Road, Port Talbot to receive grant assistance in the sum of £225 towards the annual rent of £275 for the lease of land adjacent to Salem Church, Sandfields Road, Aberafan, Port Talbot.

That the write off amounts of Council Tax, as contained within the Private circulated report, be approved.
